Yesterday I learned about the situation with slow loris and I got very sad and mad. I belive animals are not ours to put in cages. I think that if you need a cage to keep an animal in your home, you probably shouldn’t have it.
When I was little, I had a bird in a cage. I wanted to open the cage to see the bird fly but my father told me that if I did so the bird would fly away and never come back. I thought that was crazy because that was his home! When my father wasn’t looking, I opened the cage and the bird flew away and never came back. I realized that the bird was in that cage against his will, and that was not alright.

Ayer leí sobre la situación de los loris perezosos y me entristeció y enfadó mucho. Creo que los animales no nos pertenecen para ponerlos en jaulas. Creo que si necesitas una jaula para mantener a un animal en tu casa, probablemente no deberías tenerlo.
Cuando era pequeña, tenía un pajarito en una jaula. Quise abrir la jaula para ver si el pájaro volaba pero mi padre me dijo que si lo hacía se iría volando y nunca volvería. Creí que eso era una locura pues esa era su casa! Cuando mi padre no miraba, abrí la jaula y mi pájaro se fue volando y nunca volvió. Entonces me di cuenta que el pájaro estaba en esa jaula en contra de su voluntad, y eso no era justo.
